Fable Reboots Gains A Significant New Writer
The gang is getting back together.
Xbox Games Studios has a lot of developers working on exciting new games for the platform, but it is taking some time before players will see the fruits of that labor. One of these titles is the much-anticipated reboot of the Fable franchise, simply named: Fable. It was revealed all the way back in 2020 with a CGI teaser trailer that gave fans a brief glimpse of the tone that the new game was going for. We’ve seen nothing new from the game since that first trailer, but there has been some good news in the form of a talented writer joining the development team.
The latest news is that Andrew Walsh has joined developer Playground Games to work on the new Fable. Walsh has previous experience with the Fable franchise, as he was the lead writer on Fable Legends which was canceled before it could be released. That cancellation was due to the fact that the original developer of the Fable series, Lionhead Studios, was closed down by Microsoft. Walsh has also worked as a senior writer on Horizon Forbidden West and held the position of associate narrative director on Horizon Call of the Mountain. The writer took to Twitter to reveal the good news himself.
