The PC version of Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered was released not long ago and its release has caused many players to use mods in the game to make it even more exciting. We’ve seen many things already like Stan Lee swinging from buildings, Gwen Stacy playing as Spider-Man, and Uncle Ben’s gravestone being playable. Now there’s a new mod that reverts Peter Parker’s face back to the one by actor John Bubniak which was the original face of Peter Parker in the PlayStation 4 release. However, the responsible user for uploading the mod cautioned the mod isn’t an exact match to the PlayStation 4 version of Spider-Man’s Peter Parker either.

If you’d like to upload this mod to your game today, you can head over to Nexus Mods where this particular mod is titled “John Bubniak – PS4 face restoration mod” and was uploaded by DaigronCDM, with permissions granted by ID-Daemon. The actor Bubniak was the original face model for Peter in this game, although it was Yuri Lowenthal’s facial capture that then gave life to this character in-game and its actions. When Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered was first announced Sony went on to say that the actor Ben Jordan would be the new face model for the character in the game, “to get a better match to Peter Parker/Spider-Man actor Yuri Lowenthal’s facial capture.” However, some fans disagree that this new Peter Parker face is actually more accurate.

This was an adjustment for players who played this game already for years and had an attachment to how Peter Parker looked. However, it is true that the new Peter face does look more like the MCU actor Tom Holland than the old one did, which fans have guessed was intentional by the developers. It was natural that people were still going to favor the Peter Parker character’s face they grew up with and now it is great news for them that this mod now exists for the PC version of Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered. Remember that when you go to download the mod that the uploader did express it not being “exactly like old Peter from PS4” but surely many fans are already pleased with having the familiar Peter back again.
