After escaping from the Pagoda Realm, exploring Turtle Island, and defeating Non-White, players will find themselves in the Forest of Felicity, from where they can head to the final area in the third chapter: New Thunderclap Temple. Captain Kalpa-Wave is a Yaoguai Chief located in The New West guarding the entrance to the Temple. This mandatory story boss is one of the easier bosses in Black Myth: Wukong and only has a few attacks in its arsenal.
Captain Kalpa-Wave is one of the four captains the players must defeat to bring their Spirit to the Prisoner and complete his quest.

Where To Find Captain Kalpa-Wave In Black Myth: Wukong
After reaching the Forest of Felicity in the Valley of Ecstasy, you must head through the wooden gate. Keep following this path, going through more wooden Tori gates, and soon you will spot the Longevity Road Keeper's Shrine.
From Longevity Road, head toward the statues and head to the right. There will be a few sets of stairs, after which you can spot an orange glow at the entrance of the Temple. Head to the entrance, and the blood around the orange glow will contract, forming the Captain Kalpa-Wave boss.
As the boss blocks the entrance to the Temple, you will have to deal with it first to complete the Fox quest , which starts once you examine the body near the Forest of Felicity Keeper's Shrine.
How To Beat Captain Kalpa-Wave
The boss will use stomp attacks from the start of the fight. There are slight variations to the stomp attacks, such as the two-hit combos and a three-hit stomp combo with a delayed third attack. Kalpa-Wave also has a jumping stomp, which is much more deadly and deals massive damage. From time to time, the boss forms Blood Crystal Flowers that form from the ground. These leave a pool of blood, which causes damage whenever you stand in it. Whenever the boss starts forming the crystals, you must lure it out and fight it.
Kalpa-Wave starts to flap its wings, causing blood projectiles to form around it. These projectiles are not homing, so dodging them is not that difficult. If you do not stand in blood and utilize Immobilize and A Pluck of Many, this boss will go down quickly.
Charging Heavy Attack is pretty helpful for this fight, as you can run around the arena charging your Stance and go in to perform the attack. Performing this is relatively easy, as the boss does not interrupt your animation.
