After years of rumours and speculation regarding what Ken Levine and his team at Ghost Story were up to, we’ve now finally gotten some insight into what is next for the Bioshock creator – and it is called Judas.

The game was just debuted at The Game Awards, and you can check out the trailer below

Ken Levine is well known for his work on the acclaimed Bioshock franchise, which includes the original 2007 release, Bioshock, and 2013’s Bioshock Infinite. After closing his studio, Irrational Games shortly after the completion of all content in Bioshock Infinite, Levine seemed to be lost to the world of gaming, but he once again resurfaced with the formation of Ghost Story Games under the Take-Two umbrella. Levine’s work hails back to the likes of System Shock 2 well before even this point, and he will be joined by Zeb Wedell as Executive Producer, Rebecca Long as Director of Operations, Shawn Robertson as Art Director, as well as many more

It also addresses the future of Irrational Games, saying,

The Irrational Games studio was closed by Take-Two Interactive in 2014. However, you might have seen continued activity on the Irrational Games Facebook or Twitter accounts. We are a new team, working on a new game and we’d like our studio name to reflect that.

With Judas now public knowledge, the question of course shifts towards the release date for the game. Having been in development for many years now, understandably fans will be extremely excited to play the game themselves. Despite the incredible show of Judas though, Ghost Story, nor Take-Two have outlined a release year, let alone a more specific date as of yet, so expect to be seeing much more of Judas in the weeks, months, and years to come. Hopefully it won’t be too long before a confirmed release window. As for Bioshock, there has still been no word on the future for that IP.
