Destiny 2: Lightfall‘s trailer has finally been shared at tonight’s The Game Awards 2022! We are so hyped for this and so are the fans. Bungie showed up with its latest in this trailer which is the new expansion. This happens to be the second year in a row that the major Destiny 2 expansion trailer has debuted at the Game Awards which is a really cool thing.

Destiny 2: Lightfall is to release on February 28, 2023…so only a couple more months before the game will be releasing for us all to get our hands on. The Game Awards trailer gave us a mysterious look at a Neomuna location, as well as Strand, and the new Darkness powers Guardians will acquire in this upcoming expansion…so get ready for your socks to be blown off.

Lightfall is to take the Guardians to the play called Nemuna which is a hidden city on Neptune. This will be unlike the other Destiny 2‘s locations…Neomuna is not an area that has fallen into decay. When the Guardians on on Nemuna, they will meet the new Cloudstriders which are the protectors of the city and they will help fight them off Claus and The Witness. This will be an experience where the Guardians will tap into a whole new Darkness power…however it seems to focus on heavily on the movement.

The new expansion will be coming with loads of new weapons as well as a handful of new Strikes, and a new raid. There is a lot coming for Destiny 2, including a looking-for-group feature coming in 2023, but it will miss the Lightfall release date.

Destiny 2: Lightfall will be releasing February for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam and Windows.
