If that long doesn’t ring any bells, it’s the superior version of the original title that came out in 2008. The game’s enhanced edition still holds up and features many improvements from the initial release. Plus, getting any game for free is a wonderful thing that many should take advantage of. That said, some aren’t happy that they must go through GOG Galaxy to get the free title. They see it as another directive by GOG to install their software even though it has plenty of issues and isn’t necessary in the slightest. Some people have found a way to get the game without the GOG Galaxy client, but it is a bit complicated. It’s up to you what you want to do.

For example, in terms of dialogue, over 5000 lines were rewritten for the game. That’s a lot of words. Plus, they were re-recorded for quality to ensure the cutscenes were as pleasing to the ears as possible. Speaking of the cutscenes, more animations were added to the character models to look more lifelike and believable as they talked.

On the technical side of things, they improved the game’s smoothness and enhanced its speed so load times would take less time.
